Terms of Service

The rules
of the room.

What this site is and is not, what an enquiry commits either of us to, who owns what, and where the line sits between these terms and a signed project agreement.

    What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of this website and the client portal on it. By browsing the site, sending an enquiry, or signing in to the portal, you accept them.

They do not govern a game build. Scope, price, schedule, ownership transfer, exclusivity and everything else commercial is set out in the project agreement signed for that specific game. Where a project agreement and this page disagree, the project agreement wins.

    What this site is

SlotShop is an independent slot game development studio. This site is a portfolio and a way to reach us.

We are not a casino and this is not a gambling service. You cannot wager here, deposit here, or play for money here. Nothing on this site is an offer to gamble, an invitation to gamble, or financial advice. Where a title in the catalogue links out to a live game, you are leaving this site and entering a platform operated by someone else under their own licence and their own terms.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any platform, operator or supplier named on this site. Our full position on that is on the disclaimer page.

    Enquiries and quotes

Sending a brief through the contact form starts a conversation. It does not create a contract, reserve capacity, or commit either of us to anything.

A quote we send back is an indication based on what you described, and it stays open for as long as we say it does. It becomes binding only when both sides sign a project agreement.

We may decline an enquiry. We do not have to give a reason, and we will not string you along instead of saying no.

Treat what you send as confidential from our side: we do not share briefs, themes or budgets with anyone outside the studio, and we will sign an NDA before you send anything if you would rather have that in writing first.

  4. 04

    The client portal

Portal accounts are created from a registration code we issue to a specific client. Codes are not transferable. Do not pass one on.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep the password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has it. We can suspend an account if we believe it has been compromised or misused.

Work-in-progress in the portal, including art, math models, builds and comments, is confidential and frequently unreleased. Do not publish it, leak it, or show it to anyone outside the people you have told us are on your side of the project.

We keep the portal available on a best-effort basis. It is a working tool, not a system of record, and it is not a backup of your files. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose.

  5. 05

    Who owns what

The design, code, text, layout and imagery of this site belong to the studio, except where a game belongs to the client who commissioned it and appears here with their agreement. Nothing on this page grants you a licence to reuse any of it.

Cover art in the catalogue carries an embedded ownership signature. Copying a cover off this site and republishing it elsewhere is traceable, so please do not.

Third-party names, marks and logos referred to anywhere on this site remain the property of their owners and are used only to describe the platforms our work is published on.

Where you send us material, a brief, a theme, reference art, a logo, you keep everything you already owned. You give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for: quoting, and then building the game if we get that far.

  6. 06

    Acceptable use

Use the site normally and this section will never matter. Specifically, do not:

    • Scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site or the catalogue.
    • Submit forms automatically, or try to get around the rate limits on them.
    • Attempt to reach any account, project or file that is not yours.
    • Probe, load-test or attack the site or the portal.
    • Upload anything malicious, or anything you do not have the right to upload.
    • Impersonate a client, a label or the studio.

We may block access, remove content, or close an account where any of this happens.

  7. 07

    Availability and accuracy

We keep this site accurate and we correct it when it drifts, but we do not guarantee it is complete or current at any given moment. Release dates move, titles get renamed, and games get pulled by platforms for reasons that have nothing to do with us.

The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Links out to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of your data.

  8. 08

    Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site: lost profit, lost revenue, lost opportunity, or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited, including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Liability arising from a game build is dealt with in that project agreement, not here.

  9. 09

    Governing terms

Where a signed project agreement exists between us, its governing law and dispute resolution clause apply to everything connected with that project.

Nothing on this page removes or reduces any mandatory consumer or data protection right you hold under the law of the country you live in.

  10. 10

    Changes to these terms

We update this page when the site or the portal changes, and move the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version. Live projects are unaffected: their terms are the ones signed for them.

Questions about anything here are best sent through the contact form.
